Wine Club

‘Cordon Bleu’ is a French term that means blue ribbon that is used to honor women chefs for their excellence. This dish also tastes fantastic and it is simple to make. It is a beautiful and elegant roll that is quite easy to cook. Check out the simple recipe below.

Ingredients
6 chicken (skinless, boneless) breast halves
Swiss cheese – 6 slices
Six slices ham
All-purpose flour – 3 tablespoons
Paprika – 1 teaspoon
Butter – 6 tablespoons
Dry white wine – 1/2 cup
Chicken bouillon granules – 1 teaspoon
Cornstarch – 1 tablespoon
Heavy whipping cream – 1 cup

Directions
Mince the chicken breast pieces if the pieces are very thick. Put a ham and cheese slice on each of the breast pieces within 1/2 inch of each edge. Fold over the edges of chicken pieces, and secure it with toothpicks. Take a small bowl and blend the paprika and flour, and coat chicken pieces with the mixture.
Take a large frying pan and melt butter on medium-high heat. Cook the chicken in that butter until it evenly browned on each side. Add the bouillon and wine. Decrease heat to lower the flame, put cover, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, until chicken loses its pink color and clear juices come out.
Take out the toothpicks and in a warm platter shift the breasts. Mix cornstarch and cream in a little bowl, and stir that in gradually into the pan. Stir while cooking and until the mixture is thickened, and pour the mixture over the chicken. Serve it warm.
You can use mozzarella instead of Swiss cheese. You can serve it hot with mashed potatoes, spreading the remaining gravy over the potatoes. It will offer a great flavor to the dish.
