Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

It is a traditional chicken recipe that is filling, and at the same time, tempting. You can cook this delicious recipe that you might have tasted once in a restaurant at your home easily. Here is the recipe, check this out!

Ingredients
Cubed Chicken (skinless, boneless) breast halves – 1 pound
Sliced carrots – 1 cup
Frozen green peas – 1 cup
Sliced celery – 1/2 cup
Butter – 1/3 cup
Chopped onion – 1/3 cup
All-purpose flour -
Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
Celery seed – 1/4 teaspoon
Chicken broth – 1 and 3/4 cups
Milk – 2/3 cup
Two unbaked pie crusts (9 inch)

Directions
Preheat oven at 425 degrees F or 220 degrees C.
Take any saucepan, mix carrots, chicken, celery and peas. Add some water put a cover and let it boil for about 15 minutes. Take away from heat, strain water and set it aside.
On medium heat, in the saucepan melt some butter and cook onions in that until tender and transparent. Mix in flour, pepper, celery seed and salt. Gradually mix in milk and chicken broth. Let it simmer on medium-low heat until it becomes thick. Take away from flame and set it aside.
Put the chicken mixture in piecrust bottom. Spread over the hot liquid mixture. Cover the liquid with the top crust, seal the edges of the pie, and remove the excess dough. Create some small slits in the top of the pie to allow vapor to come out.
In the preheated oven, bake the pie for about 30 to 35 minutes until it becomes golden brown and fillings start bubbling. Cool it down for about 10 minutes before you serve.
If you wish, you can add other vegetables like corn and some spicy seasoning to make it tastier.
